The examination for Talati-cum-Mantri posts are going to be held on May 7, 2023 in Gujarat. It may be noted that earlier the exam was scheduled on April, 30. But, on account of non-arrangement of examination centers, the examination got postponed by a week.

Meanwhile, Hasmukh Patel, Chairman, Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board (GPSSB), has made an important announcement regarding the exam. According to him, the candidates appearing for the exam will have to give their prior confirmation. Only the candidates who have given their confirmation on the Ojas website will be able to appear for the Talati exam. It may be noted here 17 lakh forms have been filled for the examination of Talati – cum – Mantri. The exam will be held for 3437 such posts.
Hasmukh Patel added that board will make arrangements of question papers and seating arrangement for the candidates only who gave their confirmation to appear in the exam. Candidates will have to fill basic details including confirmation number and their date of birth on the Ojas website. Reportedly, the decision has been taken to prevent undue expenses for arranging the examination.
It is said that the decision has been taken based on the experience of Junior Clerk exam held recently. For the exam 9.58 lakh candidates filled their form, while only 41 percent candidates appeared for the exam.
