Temperature to rise in next 5 days in Gujarat, Heatwave likely in Ahmedabad on April 14-15

Ahmedabad: On one hand, the outbreak of heat is increasing in Gujarat, on other hand, the Meteorological Department (MD) has expressed the possibility of unseasonal rain in some districts of the state from tomorrow. According to MD, rain is likely to occur in South Gujarat, Saurashtra on 12 and 13 April. Besides, there is a possibility of unseasonal rain in Surat, Valsad, Navsari, Tapi. It is likely to rain in Amreli, Gir Somnath and Bhavnagar.

According to MD, consequent to the effect of cyclonic circulation there is possibility of rain. At the same time, the heat effect can be seen in coming days in North Gujarat and Central Gujarat. Heat wave conditions have been predicted for Ahmedabad on 14 and 15 April.

With the onset of April, the outbreak of heat wave has started. Heat wave will continue for next 5 days in the state. Under the Heat Action Plan, there will be rise in temperature in some areas and the people will have to bear the wrath of heat wave.

The temperature will continue to rise in April and May according to MD. Generally, yellow alert is issued when the temperature remains between 41 degree to 43 degree, orange alert between 43 to 44.9 degree and then red alert is issued if the temperature crosses it. According to meteorologists, the temperature is likely touch the level of the red alert this year.
