Ahmedabad: During the previous years, it used to begin scorching heat in the middle of March. But, heat was not at all experienced throughout the March due to unseasonal rain this year. Currently, with the onset of April temperature has started to move upward. According to the forecast Gujarat will experience scorching heat in April. Meanwhile, Meteorological Department has predicted an important forecast about heat and has expressed the possibility of temperature crossing 41 degree Celsius.

Yellow alert for 11,12,13 and 15 April
Acting on the possibility raised by Meteorological Department, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has issued a Yellow alert warning. AMC has issued Yellow Alert for 11, 12, 13 and 15 April. During these days, it is most likely that the temperature may cross 41 degree and touch 43 degree. In view of the same AMC has advised people to avoid going outside without any important work.
AMC has instructed teams of health department, to take preventive measures against the heat, in the circumstances of continuation of heat wave. People of Ahmedabad have also been advised to avoid going out unnecessarily. Temperature of Ahmedabad has been increasing for last two days. Besides, the temperature started to cross 39 to 40 degrees in many cities of the state. Hence, appeal to take care has been issued.
Forecast for unseasonal rain for 5 days
On the other hand, Dr. Manorama Mohanty, Director of the Meteorological Department, said that once again there is a possibility of unseasonal rain in the state due to the area of cyclonic air circulation in south-eastern Rajasthan and its surrounding areas. It is likely to be unseasonal rain in Gujarat for next 5 days. After two days, there will be thunderstorms in some parts of the state. Unseasonal rain is predicted in Kutch, Sabarkantha, Vadodara, Banaskantha and Patan on today and tomorrow.
