Over 1 thousand officers of ED-CBI in Karnataka to intimidate Congress leaders, workers: Siddaramaiah

Countdown for Karnataka Assembly polls, 2023 has begun. Less than a month period is to go for polling. According to Election Commission, elections are slated to be held in Karnataka in a single phase on May 10, and counting of votes will take place on May 13. The Political parties such as BJP, Congress, JDS, AAP, BSP, AIMIM are going to contest for 224 assembly seats. Meanwhile, Congress has been seen in action mode on account of the election.

According to Congress leader Siddaramaiah Union government has dispatched more than a thousand officials of the Income Tax (IT) Department, Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct raids. They plan to conduct raids on Congress candidates, Congress workers and those who back the party. They intimidate party leaders and workers ahead of the May 10 Assembly elections. They are not talking to us due to threats given to them. Everybody in Karnataka knows that Congress will win the election with complete majority. Hence, present MLAs and leaders of Legislative assembly are joining Congress party. They know that they will lose if they remain with BJP.

While Karnataka Congress chief D.K.Shivkumar, talking to the media, said, ” I am not disappointed by anyone’s statement. I know what is there in the heart of Siddaramaiah. what is in my heart. We will win. our aim is to bring the Congress party to power, to bring the party to power and we are going to give good governance in the state. We all stand together.”

On reaching Karnataka, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, talking to the media, said, ” Congress announces 4 guarantees. ‘Griha Lakshmi Yojana’, where in the female head of the family will be which given Rs.2000 every month, ‘Griha Jyoti Yojana’ under which 200 units of electricity will be given free every month. Under ‘Anna Bhagya Yojana’ 10 kg rice will be given free to BPL families every month, while under ‘Yuva Nidhi Yojana’ every graduate youth of Karnataka will be given Rs 3000 per month for 2 years after graduation.
