Five labourers were killed, and 11 injured after the truck they were travelling in overturned in Narsinghpur village in Madhya Pradesh. The labourers were on their way from Hyderabad in Telangana to Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
The truck that was ferrying mangoes also had 18 people travelling in it, including two drivers and a conductor. The injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital and one of whom is reported to be serious. All the labourers have been tested for coronavirus too.
Earlier 15 migrant labourers were run over by a cargo train in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district after they got tired and slept on the track. The migrants were on their way home to Madhya Pradesh. The incident has once again focused attention on the migrant crisis as the country imposed a severe lockdown.Many migrants have walked back home unable to get any public transport. The scramble for getting trains and buses has also led to social distancing norms going for a toss.
