5 dead, 4 injured as two cars crash on National Highway No 8 in Kheda


A crash between two cars on the Ahmedabad-Nadiad highway left five people dead and four others seriously injured.
All five people died on the spot. At first,

Preliminary reports said the crash happened on the Ahmedabad-Nadiad national highway No 8 close to the
Peej Chowkdi area in Kheda. The two cars involved in the accident were coming from the opposite direction. 


Two men, two women and a child all of whom were travelling in one car were killed on
the spot due to the impact of the crash. Both the cars were registered in Ahmedabad. As a result,
Locals rushed to help the victims even as police and ambulance
scrambled to reach the place. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Superintendent of Nadidar Fire and Emergency Services Dixit Patel said that
from the impact of the accident it is very clear that both the cars were being driven at a high speed.

The cars were crushed due to the impact. Police have registered a case of an accident and are investigating the matter.
