The cyber cell of Ahmedabad has nabbed two coaching class owners and one youth from Vadodara and another from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a fake marksheet/registration scam.
Earlier a complaint had been registered with the cyber cell where a gang had hacked the website of Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) and changed the data to prepare fake registration, marksheet and degree certificates for several candidates.
Gujarat State Pharmacy Council Registrar (GSPC) Jasubhai Chaudhary had filed a complaint with the cyber cell in which he had said that one Mitsu Shah of Chhota Udepur had got a fake registration from GSPC as a pharmacist.
He had also got a fake duplicate B.Pharm certificate from RK University. The complaint said this was done after someone hacked the GSPC website, changed the data and uploaded the fake registration, marksheet and degree certificate.
Who was arrested in GSPC scam
Cops used technical surveillance to nab one Jaymin Pandya of Global Academy Tuition Classe. Pandya, 34, is a resident of Arth Avenue in VIP Road, Vadodara.
They also nabbed Viral Jaiswal, 42, of Couplon Institute, a resident of Golden Silver Apartment near Subhanpura in Vadodara.
The third person who was arrested was identified as Manoj Chauhan, 30, who works in a private finance company as a manager and lives in Makarpura in the city. The fourth person is Mrugank Chaturvedi, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Jaymin coached students for engineering, GPSC and UPSC entrance exams. He also used to teach at Viral’s Couplon coaching institute and was responsible for getting the fake mark sheets of students.
Viral would then use the mark sheet to help his students get student loans through Manoj who worked in a private finance company.
Mrugank was the one who hacked the website and manipulated the data to ensure that the fake marksheet was uploaded on it.
