Tremors of an earthquake were experienced in Araria of Bihar today morning. According to National Center for Seismology (NCS) an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred at around 5.35 am Wednesday in Bihar’s Araria and 140 k.m. southwest of Siliguri. NCS there are no reports of any damage of loss of life due to earthquake. People got panic and moved out of their homes for safety.

The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Purnia.
Neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh too may have felt tremors, although there were no reports of any damage to property or loss of life.
However, United States Geological Survey reported the same quake at magnitude 4.0.
Some users took to Twitter and said that they felt tremors in the morning.

Another user said, “#earthquakes. I also felt the earth quake.”
Earlier, 4.1 magnitude earthquake was reported in Western Nepal at 6.50 am on Tuesday. Officers disclosed the information. According to National Center for Seismology, Kathmandu no damage or loss of life was reported in the earthquake.
