Gujarat on Thursday recorded 367 new COVID-19 cases and 22 new deaths due to the disease in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of cases in the state now stands at 15,572, while the fatalities due to the disease is 960.
Of the total deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, 16 deaths were reported from Ahmedabad followed by three in Vadodara and one each in Kuch, Patan and Surendranagar.
Gandhinagar did not report death due to the disease.
Ahmedabad continued to register the highest number of per day cases in the state. On Thursday, it recorded 247 such cases, followed by Surat and Vadodara that recorded 44 and 33 cases respectively. State capital Gandhinagar recorded four new cases. The total number of cases in Ahmedabad now stand at 11,344, while the death toll is 780. The number of active cases in the state is 6,611. Surat and Vadodara come second and third in number of cases and death. The districts recorded 1,465 and 947 cases respectively so far since the pandemic began. Surat also saw 65 deaths while it was 39 for Vadodara. Gandhinagar has 241 cases and 13 deaths so far.
