Covid-19: 29 new cases in Gujarat; 4.12 lakh vaccinated in 24 hours


Gandhinagar: Amid the decline in number of daily cases of Covid-19, the vaccination figures are improving now, with 4.12 lakh persons vaccinated on Tuesday.

Gujarat reported 29 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours ending Tuesday evening. No death was reported in 24 hours. The state has so far reported 8,24,546 cases. The death toll stands at 10,076.

There were 411 active cases in the state, of which 5 were on ventilator and 406 were stable.


No new case in 20 districts

Vadodara reported 7 cases, of which 4 were in the rural parts. Ahmedabad reported 6 cases and Surat 4, all in the city areas. The rural parts of Jamnagar and Junagadh reported 2 and 1 cases respectively. Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar and Rajkot did not have any new case.

Among municipalities, Dahod reported 2 while Banaskantha, Dangs, Gir Somnath, Kutch, Navsari, Sabarkantha and Surendranagar reported 1 case each.

No case was reported in Amreli, Anand, Aravalli, Bharuch, Botad, Chhota Udepur, Devbhumi Dwarka, Kheda, Mahisagar, Mehsana, Morbi, Narmada, Panchmahals, Patan, Porbandar, Tapi and Valsad.

Recovery rate at 98.73%  

As many as 61 patients recovered from the infection during the day. Till now, a total of 8,14,059 have recovered till now. The recovery rate was 98.73 per cent, according to the health department.

4.12 lakh vaccinated till now

The state government seems to be regaining the momentum that it had achieved when the nation-wide vaccination drive was launched. On Tuesday, a total of 4,12,499 persons were vaccinated against Covid-19, among the highest in a a single day.
