- Apna Dal, too, to be part of the BJP-led alliance in the 2022 UP elections
Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has joined hands with Nishad Party and Apna Dal for the Assembly elections next year.
The announcement of the alliance ahead of the 2022 UP elections was made by senior BJP leader and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in presence of BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh and NISHAD party leader Sanjay Nishad in Lucknow.
They announced that Apna Dal, too, would be part of this alliance.
The 2022 UP elections will be fought under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi.
Sanjay Nishad said that his party would field its own candidates in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Nishad party is said to have a dominant presence among the Mallah community of UP
Sanjay Nishad had earlier said that his party would play the role of kingmaker in the 2022 UP elections
