2 men draw a gun on victims in 2 separate loot incidents in Vastrapur


Two loots in a span of a few hours on Thursday has raised questions about the crime situation in the city. A female employee and her colleague in Vastrapur were held at gunpoint in Vastrapur and looted of cash and mobile phones. 

A similar incident was reported near Titanium Square in the same area when a trader was robbed similarly near the UV Cafe. 

Wh0 are victims of the loot?

One of the victims was identified as Dipal Patel, a resident of Bhagwati Apartment near Dinner Bell restaurant. Patel, a trader by profession had wrapped up his business for the day at 2 am and had stopped at Titanium Square near UV Cafe for some snacks.

Two men on a bike came and pointed a gun-like weapon at him and looted him of cash, mobile phone and other things worth Rs17,200.

Two hours later in the same area, One Prabhu Yadav, who works in a private company was on his way from office with his female colleague at around 4.15 am.

While they were near the footpath at Alpha One Mall, two men approached them, pointed a gun at them and looted them of cash and mobile worth Rs26,500.

A-division ACP AM Patel said that case has been filed and they are investigating the matter. Cops are also looking at CCTV cameras to identify the culprit.
