In all, 112 talukas of various districts in Gujarat received rain in the last 24 hours. Of this, the highest rainfall was recorded in Gondal in Rajkot that received 100 mm of rainfall. The second highest rainfall was recorded in Vallabhipur in Bhavnagar, which saw 86mm of rainfall. Bhavnagar itself received the third highest rainfall in the state at 83mm.
In Ahmedabad, Dholka taluka recorded the highest rainfall at 49mm followed by Dholera that recorded 46mm of rainfall. Ahmedabad city that saw heavy rain in the afternoon on Monday recorded 31 mm of rainfall. The entire rainfall was recorded for the city between 2 pm to 6 pm in the afternoon. State capital Gandhinagar recorded just 7 mm of rainfall.
The Met department has predicted rain or thundershowers for the city towards evening on Tuesday. The city also recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degree celsius, which was 4 degree below normal on Tuesday.
