Over 100 vendors from Kubernagar in Ahmedabad join AAP

More than 100 vendors of Kubernagar in Ahmedabad on Wednesday joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) citing concerns over the financial loss that they faced due to the lockdown.

AAP officially announced that over 100 vendors of the Sindhi Market in the area had joined them due to the poor policies of the current regime that has led to terrible losses for them.

The party claimed that the vendors contacted the party’s Kubernagar ward head – Jayendra Abhvekar – and expressed interest to join the party.

What AAP said

Kubernagar is considered a safe seat for the BJP in the municipal body elections. Party leader Amjad Khan Pathan said the rule of the present BJP government is worse than even the British, who once oppressed the country.

The current regime is following the path of dictatorship enhancing privatisation, he said. Party Kubernagar ward president Jayendra Abhvekar said the opposition Congress has failed as an Opposition.

He questioned what could a party that fears to take out a protest in public interest do for the public.
Give us a chance in the upcoming civic body election he added.

“Gujarat govt has failed to achieve in 20 years what the AAP has managed to achieve for the common man in Delhi in the last few years,” said another party leader Kailash Tamaichi.
